Satstuma imo is the Japanese name for the American sweet potato, introduced to Ryukyu (now Okinawa) from China in about 1600. Ibaraki dried sweet potato is the result of a special selection of the Red Angel type of satsuma imo, grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. The unique drying process makes each one of them soft and sweet.
